I AM using thESE tools right now
I’d like to share with you every tool I’ve been using so far. I believe they could help you the same they’ve helped me.
Below you’ll find a list of the tools and websites that I recommend you to build your online business.
I have tested many other tools before I decided to use these ones. Many of the resources listed here are essential right now to my business.
Before going further, an important disclosure:
Some of the links below are affiliate links, which means that if you choose to make a purchase, I will earn a commission. This commission does not represent an additional cost for you. It’s important for you to let this clear: I don’t recommend these tools because of the money they pay me when you purchase any of them. If you think these tools won’t be useful for your particular project, please don’t spend any money on them.
Building your Blog or Niche Site
HOSTGATOR:
GREAT CHOICE FOR WEB HOSTING
I have been very concerned about choosing our hosting provider. I chose Hostgator because it is scalable, it has an easy set-up page, and a great “starting price”. The “one-click” option for installing WordPress is great when you are not a coder (like me).
BLUEHOST:
ALMOST TIED WITH HOSTGATOR FOR WEB HOSTING
I chose Hostgator, but as you can read here: Hostgator Review (2019). Why we chose them instead of Bluehost, the battle was really close with Bluehost. As there are many people who told me that they like Bluehost better, I suppose it also has to be a great option. Although I still haven’t tried this one, in my next niche site, I’ll probably give it a try.
MAILER LITE:
I CREATE MY MAILING LISTS WITH THEM
Creating a good mailing list could make a real difference for your online business. Whether you’re looking for an email marketing tool for the first time or if you’d like to step up from the one you’re already using, MailerLite is the best option for me. Efficient and easy to use. I really like them and their awesome technical assistance.
ELEMENTOR:
DESIGN YOUR WEB FAST AND EASY
After choosing your hosting and installing WordPress, the next step is to design your web site. Now you can do this easily, even with almost no previous experience in Web Designing. Install the Elementor plugin and experience how to design a web fast and easy.
Books that could help you
WILL IT FLY?:
TEST YOUR IDEA BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE
I declare myself a total Pat Flynn fan. He’s been making money online consistently over the past ten years… and he keeps improving! He’s a great inspiration. I took a lot of ideas from this book when I was trying to define and test my ideas before coming up with “Freenancial Exposed”. (Here’s the audiobook 🙂 )
THE 4-HOUR WORKWEEK:
LIVE THE RETIREMENT ALMOST FROM TODAY!
This book literally changed my life. After I read it, I started to use virtual assistant services and to practise many other ideas from the book that improved a lot my life and gave me the time to start this project. Tim Ferriss explores the mindset and the tools you need to achieve financial freedom as soon as possible. You have my review of the book here.
MIND MAP MASTERY:
LEARN ABOUT MIND MAPS WITH THE CREATOR!
In the blog I mention a lot how much I like to use Mind Maps. I think of them as the best way to develop creativity and to organize ideas. Tony Buzan is the mind map’s guru. His last book, “Mind Map Mastery” is a well-condensed guide to take the best from this technique to develop your creativity. If you like to use an app, MindMeister is the one that I use every day. And it can be free.
Images and Vectors for your content
SHUTTERSTOCK:
This is probably the bigger place to take royalty-free images. (244 millions seem to be enough for me!). You also can find here vectors, videos, and music… It’s a web designer’s paradise.
I-STOCKPHOTO:
Is now part of the Getty Images group, and it has a ridiculously extensive catalog with excellent quality. You can purchase “on-demand” or get a monthly subscription if you need a lot of pictures during a defined period of time (i.e. when you are designing your website or blog).
VEXELS:
This is an incredible site, (that not everybody knows) where you can find useful pictures, vectors… and lots of graphic content that you can use under different Creative Commons Rules.
Creating awesome videos
CAMTASIA:
This is the screen capture software I rely on to create tutorial videos. Camtasia is relatively easy to use and it has a wide range of functions to help you create great screen capture videos.
SCREENFLOW:
Screenflow is another great teaching tool dedicated to screen capturing. It was my first choice a long time ago (in my offline business). Now I’m more into Camtasia, but there’s not a big reason for that. If you try it and prefer Screenflow, it’s going to be great too.
NIKON D5500:
This is the camera I use to record my videos. Of course, at first, you can shoot your videos with your smartphone. But when you are ready to make better quality videos, you can consider this camera as a great choice. It’s easy to set up, and the flip-out screen is great to make sure everything is being recorded perfectly while you’re delivering.

WACOM INTUOS:
